Life: An Emotional Process

20.08. - 26.08.2006
Living with the pressure from a result-driven world can stifle creativity.

This workshop will focus on the creative-process and capitalise on the freedom Boisbuchet provides, allowing participants the time to explore the inner self, the universal language of emotions, and nature's textures and forms from the surrounding environment.

The discoveries of our journey together will fuel the creative process and inspire creative expression through: painting, drawing, three dimensional manifestations…

Hill Jephson Robb

Hill Jephson Robb was born in 1970. Up until not too long ago, the 35-year-old Scott was a businessman at a small factory in Maryhill that manufactured rubber collars for hair salons. The patented Robbo constituted his first ingenious invention. In the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Robb decided to realise his long-held dream and attend art school. The young designer now holds a master's diploma from the Royal College of Art in London and one of his sculptures, Cries and Whispers, is in the permanent collection of the MoMA, New York. He has established himself as one of the most well known young designers on the Scottish scene.

Finding balance for himself and the world is the most important thing for Hill Jephson Robb. It was to this end that he developed the Temples: platter-like seats and rocking dishes for relaxation and play. The Temple has been a hit at exhibitions in Beijing, Milan, Buenos Aires, London and Germany.

He lives and works in Glasgow, UK.
