Viva Planet Earth!

The theme of the workshop given by Omar Vulpinari, related to the declaration of the year 2008 by the UN as the international year of the planet Earth.

The participants had the task of creating a poster to raise a general awareness of the needs of the planet, its actual state and the efforts left to do to make the situation better. Day after day, images were being processed, analysed and chosen to convey their message in the most efficient and striking way. 

Bringing a fun aspect to the everyday life of the workshop, the participants organised series of interviews, assembled in a film where everyone was invited to give a story about the dark side of design. Dressed up with oversized sunglasses and a wig, the participants sat on a bed at the bamboo house and had three minutes to tell their story. The result was hilarious and awards were distributed the last night.
