Designer Maarten Baas from the Netherlands raised during this workshop questions about intuition, beauty, individual qualities and how to mix up our fixed ideas about how we see things. At the beginning of the week the participants were first challenged to explore their ideas of beauty - and ugliness. In the end just to get to the result that the answers to all those questions don’t really matter, since the goal of this exercise was merely to step away from our preconceived ideas and opinions. The rest of the week individual projects were explored. Maarten asked them to come up within 1min with an object they want to create- any material available in Boisbuchet to be used. Yet- if no idea was presented he asked them to use cardboard and tape and to create a chair. Some very colourful and playful objects were the result of a week full of surprises and exploration about intuitive creativity.
