Design is developed by inventing a container for these works - a diary that is constantly available to you.

Tasks that enable our perception of the outside and the inside will support our progress in art and design – consequently, we may end up creating a ‘Gesamtkunstwerk’.

Cerstin Thiemann

Cerstin Thiemann studied at the Staatliche Kunstakademie in Dusseldorf before becoming an artist. Her work has been shown in numerous exhibitions in France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Taiwan to name a few.

She has been working for the Vitra Design Museum for more than 20 years, mainly giving workshops on the different subjects of the Museum’s changing exhibitions.

Additionally, she can now look back at 11 years involvement with and organization of the Summer Workshop Programme at Boisbuchet.As well as these commitments, through the Vitra Design Museum she has been sent to lead and organize workshops in Abu Dhabi, Switzerland, France, Spain and Taiwan.
