My lovely walking stick

10.08. - 16.08. 2008
Participation fee: € 885,- / € 685,-

Apparently a walking stick is a very simple object, it helps us to walk through nature, but if we start to think about it is much more than that. It is the link between us (humans) and nature when we explore and enjoy the great outdoors. A very personal object with a very strong emotional value.

Design and make a walking stick that explore this role on its most emotional and social side. A project to learn about Boisbuchet, about us, about telling stories through objects and of course, about walking sticks!!!

Enjoy!!

Ps. Bring your walking shoes.

After the brief launch we will go for a day walking around a nice area of Boisbuchet and everyone should identify a specific part, aspect, behaviour, story that they find interesting in relation with the walk and the walking stick. After this we will come back to base and have a discussion about what everyone found interesting, then we continue with tutorials, group discussion and prototyping. The final presentation should be working prototypes!!
