The Domaine de Boisbuchet is a country estate from the 15th century whose current-day ensemble with a castle, landscape park and agricultural buildings surrounded by woods and meadows dates to around 1860. In the workshops held on site since 1989, internationally renowned designers, architects and artists have teamed with participants from all over the world to construct a series of buildings over the years that go beyond purely experimental character to exemplify innovative materials and construction methods, sustainability and a harmonious interplay of nature, agriculture and architecture.
The Domaine de Boisbuchet will be open to public visitors from July 1st until End of September 2010. The architectural park and the current temporary exhibition can be visited with guided tours only. Tours of the park take 2 hours starting at 11 am, 2 pm, and 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays; visits off opening hours are possible on appointment.
Entrance fees: 8,-- Euros; for pupils and students: 4,-- Euros; the admission for children under 12 years of age is free.
Our bistro and a small design shop are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.30 am until 6 pm. A car park, compulsive for all cars and motorbikes, is located at the area's entrance.
