 Tom Vack | Telling Stories An image is worth a thousand words. Multiply the images, and a story grows. With this thought in mind, photographer Tom Vack introduced his students to a week of story telling through images. The week began with a presentation of Vack’s personal and professional work. His own unique storytelling technique served as example for the group as they started exploring the Boisbuchet landscape in search of inspiration. Small groups formed as similar interests developed among participants. Themes such as color, people, and environment were investigated and a series of photos emerged. Using digital editing technology, the groups set their images to music and created short films shown to all late Friday night. An enthusiastic crowd cried for encores as the group took their final bow, smiling after a week of discovery, teamwork, and creation. |
