Nick Hafermaas Discussions From idea to shape Transporting the ICU to the castle Trying out a relaxing unit Participants of the week (2 workshops) | The Intelligent Mansion
How do you think you can personalize a castle in 2015? Well in Boisbuchet a group directed by Nick Hafermaas has developed the ICU (intelligent castle unit).
As the group got together they started to think about creating a modular system that can fulfill domestic living in 2015. By the end of the discussion and after studying different possibilities and necessities, the ICI started to take an actual shape, big and green with faboulous features : an auto inflatable sleeping unit with everything you need for a nice sleep, - a bathroom model that instead of using water has an air system that allows to clean your body, - a food unit that helps you prepare exquisite meals without wasting food, - a lounge that provide you with images you would like to watch in the moment you want, such as a bun fire, - a relaxing unit with a built-in TV, - a sound system that can can stimulate you, - a smart energy saving system that restores energy within the ICU.
After a hard week work, with a lot a fun, between nailing and dancing, the ICU was built by a team of bright thinkers for the future and then placed in the castle of Boisbuchet. With all of these intelligent thoughts, there is no need in saying that the future is grey, it?s bright and it is green? |
