Floating Sceneries

According to Ico Migliore exhibit design acts on the space using components of varying densities, such as dynamism/ sequencing, interaction/movement, light/effects, graphics/image, density/emptiness, time/distance. The participants were asked to make an exhibition about Boisbuchet by using one or more of these components. Divided into groups of three people every group had to present four concepts and produce a scale model before starting with the work for the final exhibition. After four days of talking and discussing with the designer, drawing concepts, collecting materials, working at the computer and constructing objects, four group concepts were shown.

Starting at the mill, big connected tanks, displayed with photos taken during the week, were showing the connections that happen in Boisbuchet. Second was a periscope installed at the wall close to the main building that enables the viewer to spy on his surrounding. Flexible mirrors allowed a better overview. On the main field a path was set. A high, climbable wood-construction allowed the visitor a view to the main attractions of Boisbuchet. Following an artificial line of natural materials moveable and decorated frames were passed, giving the possibility to frame the single zones. The ending was made by a chair completely covered with moss.

The scary part started after dinner. Footsteps on the floor guided the group through the castle. Playing with light and shadows different installations showed, that every visitor leaves a mark at a place.
