Dream, dare, do

Dream, dare, do

Stepping out of our normal life, living an extraordinary environment and benefitting from the relaxed offerings of Boisbuchet invites all of us to dare different approaches to what we are conditioned from education or work.

According to the open structural and physical spaces we meet in Boisbuchet, we expand our mental and emotional frames with the value of playing.

Creating objects which we need in the concrete circumstances of these times in summer, with what we have and find on site. Clothing, tool, piece of beauty, place to be, and for sure each ones individual play-thing.

We integrate dreaming as pushing strength in the creative processes and design our days from fix program and optional offers.Reflecting from what we do, physical objects and non-materialistic structures, we work on practical results to bring home and adapt them in our daily life and work.

Although this workshop claims to alter dreaming to an important and legitimate technique, the objective of the week is very practical. Offering you suggestions and support for your concrete challenges back in the real existing commercial world.

ACTIVE PEOPLE
is one of the most innovative companies in the toy sector. Under the creative direction of designer Alex Hochstrasser and its founder René Küng the Swiss company has been breaking new ground with products like Bilibo, Astrojax or Boing to name just a few.

Together we will use Boisbuchet as a playground and laboratory for new ideas. We will explore the hidden play potential in found objects, see what happens when you modify or reassemble them in different ways and learn how to tickle people's natural urge to play. Maybe this leads to the next.

RENÉ KüNG
As a founder and driving force behind ACTIVE PEOPLE René Küng's life has always been about motion, whether in his early days as sports instructor or later as one of the pioneers in kite sailing. The engagement with toys started with a small toy store in Basel which evolved into a distribution company for yo-yos and juggling accessories and eventually became ACTIVE PEOPLE as we know it today: A company focused on developing and marketing innovative and sustainable toys that get people to play, move, explore and dream.

The fee for a six-days workshop is:

  • 745 € for students under 32 (with a valid student ID)
  • 975 € for professionals
  • Including materials, full board and accommodation
