Chef

Position Overview:
We are looking for a chef for the whole summer season (June to September). The chef, together with his team, will be in charge of the daily lunch and diner food preparation. He will direct kitchen staff and handle any food-related concerns.

Required Skills:
• Team leader

• Check freshness of food and ingredients
• In charge of the preparation and coordination of everyday’s lunch and diner together with his team.
• Develop recipes and determine how to present the food
• Plan menus and ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
• Training and supervision of his assistants
• Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies needed to ensure efficient operations
• Manage the week budget
• Monitor sanitation practices and ensure that kitchen safety standards are followed

Office Assistant

We are currently looking for an Office assistant starting as soon as possible, to evolve in the organisation of cultural events. For legal reasons, applicants must be from the EU and between 18 to 25 years old.

Required Skills:
• Fluent in English & French (both written and spoken)
• Able to manage word processing, Powerpoint, Excel, Adobe suite
• Communication skills
• Social media skills (community manager preferable)

Workshop Technician Assistant

This position requires a hard working personality. Eager to learn new techniques every week. Maintenance work is also require in this position.

Required Skills:
• ability to work with various materials and machines like: wood, metal, textile, plastic, table saw, belt saw, soldering and welding plus electric concepts
• The safety rules are explained in the beginning of the workshop and because of the responsibility of the manager of the atelier we need to be all the time checking and explaining how is the best way to work
• ability to take make informed decisions and stick with them

Workshop Season 2017
Would you like to be part of Boisbuchet’s team in 2017?

For the preparation, operating and wrap-up of our upcoming workshops in design and architecture, we are now recruiting staff to provide office assistance, guided tours, photo and video documentary, gardening, clearance and hospitality.

The 2017 workshop season will be running from early May to mid September under the motto of “Growing the Future Now”. For those of you who have earlier availabilities, we are also proposing staff positions as early as May, with major international institutions and universities directing workshops and events at Boisbuchet (please specify in your application if this is your case).

  • We require a minimum availability of 8 weeks of work and will prioritize people with a longer availability.
