Compagnons du Devoir: Annual Congress 2017

Compagnons du Devoir

Annual Congress 2017

For four days we received the Compagnons du Devoir from their soft goods division, on the occasion of their 59th congress.

Compagnons du Devoir is a French association dating back to the 1900s that is dedicated to handmade goods, and to transmit their know-how to younger generations.

They chose to host their 2017 edition in Boisbuchet because of our shared value: fostering creativity.

More than 250 people from the association - upholstery, shoe, saddle and leather good makers- came for an intensive four day congress:

They had seminars and conferences by the experts of each area, workshops and teambuilding activities, delicious meals in our parc, and fun night shows!

The Domaine served not only as a meeting and accommodating place, but also as an exhibition space for them to share their production.

All creations from the past year from their young Apprentices were shown either in the Barn, the Japanese house, the Mill and the Bamboo conference room.

They also did an exhibition in our Castle, showing some of their work in an exhibition called “Challenge to innovate together: a retrospective”.
