Une installation du studio parisien Al\u00e9a Work<\/strong>, en collaboration avec le Domaine de Boisbuchet<\/strong> et BASE Milano<\/strong>, avec le soutien de l\u2019Institut Fran\u00e7ais<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Garden Lab, con\u00e7u par Domaine de Boisbuchet et Al\u00e9a Work, est une initiative de recherche d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation et \u00e0 la collaboration en design bio-inclusif. La myco-fabrication \u2013 un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 utilisant le myc\u00e9lium pour lier des d\u00e9chets et en faire des mat\u00e9riaux \u2013 repose habituellement sur des environnements st\u00e9riles et contr\u00f4l\u00e9s. La m\u00e9thode Back to Dirt<\/em> d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e par Al\u00e9a remet en question cette norme en cultivant le myc\u00e9lium directement dans la terre, sans st\u00e9rilisation, sans consommation \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, sans moules synth\u00e9tiques, tout en exploitant sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rer les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

En acceptant l\u2019impr\u00e9visibilit\u00e9 des environnements non st\u00e9riles, cette approche d\u00e9place le design d\u2019un registre de contr\u00f4le vers une co-cr\u00e9ation avec les syst\u00e8mes vivants. \u00c0 BASE Milano, The Garden Lab invite les visiteurs \u00e0 contribuer avec leurs d\u00e9chets et leurs r\u00e9flexions \u2013 questions, id\u00e9es et mat\u00e9riaux \u2013 qui seront \u201cnourris\u201d au myc\u00e9lium comme substrat, pour donner naissance \u00e0 une \u0153uvre collective en croissance.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Domaine de Boisbuchet
<\/strong>
Fond\u00e9 en 1986, le Domaine de Boisbuchet est un centre international de recherche en design et en architecture. Situ\u00e9 au c\u0153ur de 150 hectares de nature prot\u00e9g\u00e9e dans le sud-ouest de la France, le campus comprend un parc architectural m\u00ealant b\u00e2timents historiques et contemporains. Les ateliers, expositions, \u00e9v\u00e9nements, ainsi qu\u2019une collection de design et une biblioth\u00e8que sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e accueillent des professionnels, des \u00e9tudiants et des visiteurs venus du monde entier comme des environs.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9a Work
<\/strong>
Al\u00e9a Work est un studio parisien de recherche en design exp\u00e9rimental et en mat\u00e9riaux, cofond\u00e9 en 2021 par Stella Lee Prowse et Miriam Josi.
Leur travail explore les cycles de croissance, de d\u00e9composition et de d\u00e9chet, avec pour objectif le d\u00e9veloppement de m\u00e9thodes de fabrication r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratives, tout en valorisant la beaut\u00e9 du processus. Situ\u00e9e \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e du design, de l\u2019art, de la biologie et de l\u2019agriculture, leur pratique efface les fronti\u00e8res entre disciplines.<\/p>\n
