Au c\u0153ur de cette discipline se trouve une philosophie de l\u2019harmonie \u2013 entre l\u2019artisan, les outils et le bois \u2013 qui repose sur une exigence de savoir-faire, une appr\u00e9ciation de la simplicit\u00e9 et une grande attention port\u00e9e au caract\u00e8re unique de chaque pi\u00e8ce de bois. Cette tradition est surtout c\u00e9l\u00e8bre pour son assemblage complexe, dans lequel les \u00e9l\u00e9ments s\u2019embo\u00eetent parfaitement sans clous, vis ni colle. Chaque joint est le fruit d\u2019une grande ma\u00eetrise, permettant de cr\u00e9er des structures et objets \u00e0 la fois fonctionnels et proches de l\u2019\u0153uvre d\u2019art.<\/p>\n<p>Ce workshop de dix jours invite les participant\u00b7e\u00b7s \u00e0 explorer les fondamentaux de la menuiserie japonaise, sous la direction de Wataru Kumano, designer accompli dont le travail puise largement dans le potentiel cr\u00e9atif du bois. Bien qu\u2019il ne soit pas menuisier traditionnel, Wataru propose une approche du m\u00e9tier nourrie par sa sensibilit\u00e9 de designer, conjuguant les m\u00e9thodes ancestrales \u00e0 une vision contemporaine du travail du bois.<\/p>\n<p>Le workshop commencera par une introduction aux techniques traditionnelles, notamment la d\u00e9coupe et l\u2019assemblage des joints caract\u00e9ristiques de cette pratique. Les participant\u00b7e\u00b7s apprendront \u00e0 manier les outils manuels pour r\u00e9aliser des assemblages tels que tenons-mortaises, queues d\u2019aronde, et autres techniques japonaises, d\u00e9veloppant la patience et la pr\u00e9cision n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 leur mise en \u0153uvre. Ces comp\u00e9tences seront ensuite mises en application \u00e0 travers la cr\u00e9ation de pi\u00e8ces individuelles.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019exercice se conclura par un projet collaboratif : une installation collective r\u00e9unissant les savoirs acquis pendant l\u2019atelier, en hommage \u00e0 l\u2019exp\u00e9rience partag\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Ce workshop est ouvert \u00e0 toutes et tous, mais s\u2019adresse particuli\u00e8rement \u00e0 celles et ceux ayant d\u00e9j\u00e0 une certaine familiarit\u00e9 avec les outils manuels et un r\u00e9el int\u00e9r\u00eat pour la menuiserie. Au fil de ces dix jours, les participant\u00b7e\u00b7s d\u00e9couvriront les techniques et la philosophie de la menuiserie japonaise, ainsi que l\u2019\u00e9quilibre subtil entre forme et fonction qui
