Ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne est particuli\u00e8rement visible dans l\u2019industrie du bois, o\u00f9 les formes complexes, irr\u00e9guli\u00e8res ou jug\u00e9es \u00ab ing\u00e9rables \u00bb \u2014 telles que les racines, les branches noueuses ou les bois incrust\u00e9s de pierres \u2014 sont \u00e9cart\u00e9es et consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme des d\u00e9chets. L\u2019industrie de l\u2019huile d\u2019olive en offre un exemple significatif : les racines d\u2019olivier, bien que dot\u00e9es de grandes qualit\u00e9s techniques et esth\u00e9tiques, sont souvent vendues comme bois de chauffage \u00e0 seulement 0,10 \u20ac\/kg.<\/p>\n<p>Ce workshop s\u2019appuie sur un projet de recherche men\u00e9 depuis plus de dix ans par Jorge Penad\u00e9s, qui explore les impacts de l\u2019industrie de l\u2019huile d\u2019olive en Espagne, premier producteur mondial. Son enqu\u00eate met en lumi\u00e8re les cons\u00e9quences de la m\u00e9canisation extr\u00eame, notamment le passage de la r\u00e9colte traditionnelle \u00e0 des m\u00e9thodes superintensives, qui ont transform\u00e9 les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes et red\u00e9fini les hi\u00e9rarchies mat\u00e9rielles. Au-del\u00e0 du cas sp\u00e9cifique du bois d\u2019olivier, l\u2019atelier propose aux participant\u00b7e\u00b7s de repenser le potentiel des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de bois rejet\u00e9s, \u00e0 partir du contexte naturel de Boisbuchet.<\/p>\n<p>Tout au long de la semaine, nous m\u00e8nerons des explorations sur le terrain dans les for\u00eats autour du domaine, \u00e0 la recherche de mat\u00e9riaux habituellement n\u00e9glig\u00e9s ou \u00e9cart\u00e9s \u2014 racines, branches tordues et autres formes organiques jug\u00e9es \u00ab inutilisables \u00bb. Ces mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res serviront de base \u00e0 un processus de design exp\u00e9rimental, qui privil\u00e9giera l\u2019adaptabilit\u00e9 et l\u2019improvisation plut\u00f4t qu\u2019une forme pr\u00e9d\u00e9termin\u00e9e. Plut\u00f4t que de contraindre les mat\u00e9riaux \u00e0 s\u2019adapter \u00e0 des id\u00e9es pr\u00e9con\u00e7ues, les participant\u00b7e\u00b7s seront invit\u00e9\u00b7e\u00b7s \u00e0 laisser la mati\u00e8re guider leur processus cr\u00e9atif. En travaillant directement avec ces mat\u00e9riaux n\u00e9glig\u00e9s, le workshop ouvrira \u00e9galement une r\u00e9flexion plus large sur les notions de d\u00e9chet et sur le potentiel des mati\u00e8res organiques. Comment les standards industriels influencent-ils notre perception de la valeur et de la qualit\u00e9 ? Ce sera l\u2019occasion d\u2019explorer une approche du design plus inclusive, intuitive et sensible \u00e0 ce que la nature a \u00e0
