For over 15 years, Floris Wubben has been exploring alternative approaches to working with clay\u2014not as a traditional ceramicist, but as a designer and maker driven by experimentation. His process embraces unpredictability and welcomes deviation from expected outcomes, transforming the act of making into a continuous search for new possibilities.<\/p>\n<p>In this workshop, participants will explore unconventional methods of working with ceramics. Rather than following standard techniques, we\u2019ll use unexpected tools and processes that introduce an element of chance into the making process. Mistakes, accidents, and surprises will be welcomed as sources of inspiration, and participants will be encouraged to work instinctively\u2014letting the material lead the way. Even the firing process will break from tradition: depending on the nature of the pieces, we may use a small gas kiln, dig an open pit for firing in the ground, or experiment with other low-tech methods. Each stage\u2014from shaping to drying to firing\u2014becomes an opportunity for exploration.<\/p>\n<p>Under the guidance of Floris Wubben, participants will leave behind the notion of perfection and embrace a freer, more intuitive approach to ceramics. Whether you&#8217;re experienced or new to working with clay, this workshop offers a unique chance to expand your creative vocabulary, discover new techniques, and develop a fresh perspective on one
