We are recruiting for the next position:


CUISINIER / CUISINIERE / CREATIVE CHEF
DESCRIPTION DE L'OFREE
We are looking for a professional cook / chef creative, focused on mediterranean cuisine based on fresh products. The duties consist to prepare daily a buffet for 30 to 90 people for lunch and diner. This job also requires the elaboration of the menus, the stock administration, the negotiation with suppliers and local producers.
Supervising all kitchen team members (2 non-professional assistants) ensuring excellence and consistency in the meals prepared.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
  • Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation
  • Supervise Cooks assistants as needed
  • Monitor food stock and place orders
  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
  • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
  • English / French well spoken 
  • Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment 
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes 
  • Interest in food design preferred
  • Familiarity with sanitation regulations
  • Culinary school diploma preferred
