Aline Houdé-Diebolt
France
Aline Houdé-Diebolt (Aline HD) is a craftswoman and designer specialising in paper. Born in 1985 in Alsace, she now works in France and internationally. Trained in textile design at the École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré in Paris, she has transferred this expertise to paper. Since 2013, Aline has developed a distinctive practice within the field of contemporary craft. Over the years, she has created her own techniques, elevating this universal material to the level of paper goldsmithing through a rare combination of precision, rigour, and innovation.
Her creations, commissioned by leading international luxury houses, take the form of window displays, editorial shoots, and advertising campaigns. Alongside these commissions, she develops personal works and has established herself as a reference in her field.
Her career has been recognised with several prestigious distinctions: she is an Academician of the Fondation d’Entreprise Hermès (2025), laureate of the Prix des Artisanes 2024 (Elle × LVMH), and recipient of awards from the Fondations Banque Populaire, Rémy Cointreau, and Aquatique Show. Her work has been exhibited at the Révélations Biennial (Grand Palais, Paris) and at the Homo Faber Biennial in Venice.
