SEVENTH EDITION OF THE ACADÉMIE
DES SAVOIR-FAIRE

The Domaine de Boisbuchet had the honor of hosting the seventh edition of the Académie des savoir-faire of the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès through two weeks of Grand Atelier.

Since 2014, the Academy has invited professionals every two years to collectively explore a universal material, combining innovation, experimentation, and sustainability. For the 2025 edition, under the artistic direction of French designer Constance Guisset, artisans, designers, and engineers came together to work with paper: a material both ancestral and essential, a source of creativity and a solution for the future. Combining lightness and strength, functionality and aesthetics, this material both a medium for communication and a source of creativity continues to accompany us in our daily lives.

The participants were divided into three groups, each exploring a different theme: earth, air, and water. From this Grand Atelier came a variety of projects, presented in the château of Boisbuchet through three short films and an exhibition to share their creative process and vision.
