PRÉFET DE LA CHARENTE & SOUS-PRÉFÈTE OF CONFOLENS

On Wednesday, 20 August 2025, we welcomed Monsieur Jérôme Harnois, Préfet of Charente and Madame Adeline Bard, Sous-préfète of Confolens, to Domaine de Boisbuchet.

During their visit, they were introduced to the summer exhibition Public Spheres and Private Spheres, exhibited in the castle, as well as the library and archives. They also explored the architectural park, starting with the Japanese House and The Techstyle-Haus, before visiting the workshop, where they were given an overview of the ongoing Man Made – Machine Made workshop, led by Jonas Lutz and Satoshi Yoshida.

The discussions focused on the history of the site, its cultural and educational activities, and its role within the region’s cultural landscape. The visit also provided an opportunity to highlight the values of the Domaine and its commitment to creativity, research, and knowledge sharing, while highlighting its connections with the local territory. It was a moment of dialogue and discovery that helped strengthen connections with institutional actors.
