CYCLE DES HAUTES ÉTUDES DE LA CULTURE (CHEC) AT DOMAINE DE BOISBUCHET
ART AND DESIGN: BRINGING THE UNKNOWN TO LIFE
JUNE 27 TH – JUNE 28 TH 2025

Two days at Boisbuchet dedicated to art, design, and cultural collaboration
On June 27 and 28, Boisbuchet welcomed participants from the Cycle des Hautes Études de la Culture (CHEC) for two days of exchanges around the theme “Art and Design: Bringing the Unknown to Life.”
On Friday, a roundtable discussion moderated by David Redon (DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine) brought together Françoise Seince (Director of ENSAD Limoges), Anne-Claire Duprat (Director of Fondation Martell), Benoît Savy (President of the Communauté de communes), as well as Mathias Schwartz-Clauss and Alexander von Vegesack. This open conversation focused on “Cultural cooperation: the art of context.” Participants then discovered projects by ENSAD Limoges students developed as part of the «La Terre en partage» program: Zoé Gonzales with a sensitive and participatory cartography, Zélie Boisselier-Nonnet with an evolving and educational wall hanging on crop implantation, and Lola Fague with a presentation of a participatory pottery wheel workshop.

Saturday was dedicated to a series of practical workshops exploring design and artistic creation:
– A workshop on intuitive earth architecture led by Mathias Schwartz-Clauss
– A culinary design workshop led by Andrea Lorini
– A meeting with Shanna Warocquier and Alice Ponty presenting their project “Like a painless wound”
– And a meeting with the duo Esto Estudio (Amalia Wakonigg & Guillermo Borreguero) and graphic designer Diego Lara, as part of their residency at Boisbuchet supported by Acción Cultural Española (AC/E).
These two days opened up shared reflections on the role of culture, art, and design in our societies, while giving participants a concrete insight into the creative dynamism and unique environment that define Boisbuchet.
