WORKSHOP “BOUND TO THE LAKE”

“Bound to the lake” is a workshop led by Mut Design, organised in collaboration with EASD Valencia (Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño de Valencia), an institution recognised for its teaching in design, applied arts, and creative disciplines, with a strong emphasis on practice and close ties to industry.

Upon their arrival at Domaine de Boisbuchet, the students were invited to immerse themselves in the site and observe its specific characteristics, with the aim of designing objects in direct dialogue with their environment.

Inspired by chinampas—traditional floating agricultural systems—they designed and built a floating structure using natural materials found at Boisbuchet, including cork and corn husks. Designed to be in dialogue with its environment, the structure subtly blends into the landscape.
