Nathanaël Abeille

Nathanaël Abeille was born in 1986 in the Ardèche region of France. In 2011, he graduated as a designer from L’ENSAD Paris, and in 2014 from ENSADLab Paris. He was awarded the Bourse Agora prize in 2015, presented by the French Minister of Culture, for his innovative design research. After two years at Ateliers Jean Nouvel, he finally set up his own firm.
He belongs to that generation of designers who are convinced that a thorough application of materials and manufacturing processes contributes to solving practical, concrete problems and thus transforming everyday life in a rational, holistic way. In fact, he is currently working as a designer-researcher in the field of climate change. In this context, he places particular emphasis on the socially sustainable use of natural light.
Nathanaël Abeille lives in Frioul and works in Marseille. His creations are often found in public spaces, notably in Marseille, Haute-Savoie, Buenos Aires and Paris.
