GUIDED TOURS
Boisbuchet’s tours present the Domaine’s park with its architectural projects (see map) and an annually changing exhibition in the chateau. The entire visit takes about 3 hours.
International Architecture in a 19th Century Landscape Park
The architectural park features buildings by architects Simón Vélez (Colombia), Shigeru Ban (Japan), Markus Heinsdorff, Jörg Schlaich and Brückner & Brückner (Germany), the futuristic Techstyle-Haus, installations by Alvaro Siza (Portugal), Go Hasegawa (Japan), Nikolay Polissky and Alexander Brodsky (Russia), as well as a traditional Japanese guest house of 1864.
The exhibition : Innovate Together is organised by the Compagnons du Devoir et du Tour de France and is supported by the Fondation J M Weston. It values excellence in the crafts of leatherwear, shoe-making, saddlery, and tapestry. Les compagnons du devoir (young craftsmen travelling the country for practical experience) as well as students of design at ENSCI and of design management at IFM present prototypes of their most recent products with a pedagogical purpose and in view of global coherence, economic feasibility, and the collaborative approach.
