LETTE VEREIN, BERLIN + DOMAINE DE BOISBUCHET

The Domaine Through Lette Verein’s Lens

MAY 1ST – MAY 15TH

Domaine de Boisbuchet hosted young photographers and filmmakers from Lette Verein from Berlin from May 1st to May 15th , for a brief and exploratory visit and insight into the intricacies of architecture, furniture design and nature.

The excitement was palpable as this was not just any visit, but a two-week excursion aimed at helping the students unwind, find inspiration in nature and focus on their personal photography and film projects. The lush greenery, picturesque scenery, and tranquil ambience of the French countryside and the preserved natural sanctuary at Boisbuchet provided the perfect setting for this creative escape. As soon as they arrived, the students were greeted with warm hospitality and breathtaking scenery that left them in awe. The serene atmosphere of the natural environment was a refreshing change from the hustle, bustle and rush of city life. The students were encouraged to take walks in nature, relax, and soak in the surroundings. They were also given ample time to work on their personal projects, mostly related to photography, film and products, which was the primary goal of the visit. The students took advantage of this opportunity to explore their craft and experiment with new techniques, materials for exploration and facilities provided at the ateliers in Boisbuchet. The stunning landscapes, quaint forests, and charming flora and fauna provided ample inspiration for their work.

As their two-week visit drew to an end, the students were now left with a newfound appreciation for nature’s beauty and a renewed passion for their skills and craft, which was showcased in the form of an exhibit held at one of the pavilions in the domaine. The exhibition displayed a variety of shots of students and their objects of focus in the scenic views of Boisbuchet with stunning composure. A variety of explorations were made using different methods and materials, like linoleum and cork, which provided the students and us with something new to marvel at, and added to the overall excitement of the final exhibit. They return to Berlin by the end of this week, hopefully feeling rejuvenated and inspired, ready to take on new creative challenges. In conclusion, the visit proved to be an exciting and educational experience with a lasting impression, as the students were left with a deeper understanding of community building, and what it means to merge design, architecture and nature with their own skill sets and their lens of view.
