Peter Beaugard

Peter Beaugard is the Head of Brand Strategy at Dooney & Bourke, the third largest handbag company in the US.  In his capacity at Dooney & Bourke, he manages brand strategy, marketing, and creative, Previously, he was an associate professor and department chair for the Art and Design Department at Lawrence Tech University in Detroit, MI.  In addition to teaching at Lawrence Tech, he has taught at the University of Michigan, the Maryland Institute College of Art, the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Bridgeport. Additionally, he worked for Fahrenheit 212, a leading innovation consulting firm in New York City, and led engagements with Fortune 500 and private equity clients on four continents. Selected clients include Hillshire Brands, Pepsi, Nestle, CitiBank, Pfizer, and Mars.  His writings and presentations on the role of design in contemporary society have been featured in Print Magazine, Salon, National Public Radio, and TedX. He holds a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, a MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art, and a MBA from Columbia Business School.
