Uchronia (FR)
Spacious Colour
July 21st – July 27th 2024

Uchronia France
I was born and grew up in Paris, in a family that tended to focus on legal and medical professions. One Christmas, I was given a box of Kapla toys, which was an enlightenment for me. From then on, I never left them, and began building and deconstructing spaces and shapes. Until my teenage years, when the Kapla were no longer enough and the playground became my bedroom, changing the decor and furniture layout every 15 days.
I began my studies at L’ESA, obtaining a bachelor’s degree, which I continued in London at the Architectural Association. I then traveled a lot to nourish my culture and artistic vision, but it was on the school benches that the idea for Uchronia was born. It was in 2019 that I decided to found Uchronia.
The Workshop
Colour has the ability to transform or manipulate space, as well as the power to affect our mood and consciousness. In this workshop, we will explore some of the endless dimensions of colour and its spatial effects.
Participants in our workshop will develop an understanding of colour through its manipulation, mixing their own favourites, building up a personal palette, and discovering its potential for creating spaces that reflect very specific intentions.
The exhibition on The Colours of Architecture taking place at the same time in Boisbuchet's chateau will provide us with additional inspiration and offer occasional opportunities for interventions.
