The Workshop

In a world consumed by content, and with artificial intelligence only engorging it; members from the Aesop Creative studio Shawana Grosvenor and Gabriel Santos, shift us from algorithm to analogue, presenting an alternative approach to events, brand experiences and temporal spaces, that touches the senses and psyche.

During the workshop, participants will design a compelling event from invitation to execution, using select Aesop formulations and the duos distinctive perspective to product launches – honed over their collective twenty-two years with the brand.

With a focus on ceremony and the practices associated with bathing, such as creating spaces of respite, ablutions, and reconnecting with oneself; participants will learn a process that is transferable across various creative industries and employs sensory architecture, set design, and performance to create a compelling experience that may be reimagined for product launches, events, or exhibitions. Specific areas covered include: sense check, costume, welcome gestures, performance, sustenance, experience, or gifting.

Participants will take away a new methodology to apply to their own practice and or businesses, new friends, and fragrant memories.
